Positive thinking Tip #4 - Visualisation

My fourth tip is so important but first a word of caution:

This is something you need to do EACH DAY and your results will depend on your keeping at this. GOOD NEWS is you only need 5-10 minutes maximum for this exercise.

To make your dreams come true try Visualisation. What is it?

What you do is for only 5 or 10 minutes EACH DAY relax, close your eyes and see yourself living the life of your dreams but imagine how you feel, what you hear and see everything in as much detail as possible...

These two things are very important when visualising:

1- only spend 5 or 10 minutes and then forget it.
2- imagine that everything is already like you want it and imagine what it feels like and how you are behaving and thinking. use as much emotion as possible. For the time when you are visualising imagine everything as if it were real.

Over the last few days I have been watching a truly wonderful DVD called Thoughts Become Things which I recommend you watch too. The idea of visualisation is explained at length as is so many other ideas. What I really like is the way that Mike Dooley helps you to understand the power of your thoughts and how you can use them to help make a positive change in your life and break away from self-defeating negative thinking...

How to Make your Thoughts Positive and Powerful - Tip#3

It's time for tip number 3 and another powerful way that you can program yourself to think positively...

Have you heard of Affirmations before?

Just in case you haven't here's a quick explanation for you:

Affirmations are positive statements you read out everyday to slowly change your thinking.

How do you use them? This is what I do:

Read out these affirmations and any others you find that help you several times a day.

It's a good idea to put them on the wall or above your workspace. Anywhere that you see them regularly. You can write them in a diary or even put them on your computer.

Here are a few Affirmations to start with:

"I focus myself on positive and good things"
"I like who I am"
"I am a powerful, kind and creative person"
"I feel safe and secure being me"
"I accept the truth inside me"
"I am prosperous"
"I am free to choose my path in life"
"I let anger and frustration go"
"My life is filled with love, direction and joy"

You'll feel better just repeating these and if you keep at it for a few weeks you'll change your whole attitude.

Remember don't give up and say these a few times each day even if you don't feel like it. Try to believe what you read and it will come true.

Change your thoughts...tip#2

Look out for negative things that you say. Talk is your thoughts made into sound and communicated to others. They become very powerful because you're putting your thoughts out there in the world...

So today try this tip:

If you catch yourself using CAN'T, DON'T WANT, DON'T LIKE, HATE then change these to make positive statements with prefer, would rather,and so on.

For example:

I can't do that - say - I would rather do this
I don't like living here - say - I prefer living there or I would rather live there.
I hate this job! - say - I'd prefer another job

These are small but important changes and make all the difference.

You don't want to keep these negative aspects in your life so make them into positives you want to see rather than negatives that you don't like and this will help to make your thoughts more positive.

The Law of Attraction is something I will explain more about tomorrow.

Tip #1 - Positive thinking

Today's tip is simple and quick (and all these tips will be).

It is so easy to be negative...TOO easy in fact so here's a way to change your thinking and if you use this you can start to look forward and use your imagination to expand on the possiblilities that exist. This will increase your hope that your life can and WILL improve.

So here it is:

Ask the question "What if...?"

What if ....he agrees?
            ...it works?
            ...it is easier than I think?
            ...I succeed at this?
            ...find an answer?


Ok, got the picture?

Instead of anticipating failure you'll start to imagine what can go right and what that would mean, spend time answering the question "What if ?" in your head and seeing and feeling the positive consequences when things do work out right....

This tip is extremely powerful, start trying this today...

How to be more positive...really - step by step

Ever noticed how some people are always positive and enthusiastic. I know people who seem to get excited about the smallest things and never seem to stop telling jokes and smiling...

If you want to improve your life and what you get out of it you need a positive mindset.

I've learnt this personally because for large parts of my life, (without really stopping to check the effect), I've been negative inside.

Now if you want that positive change in your life you need to seriously work towards programming yourself to be positive in all ways possible...

Over the next few days I'm going to give you step by step help with this. We will look at ways to change how you think and react to the world around you. I am going to give you a tip each day to become more positive...

The point of this positivity though is to help you change your life.

There are three steps you need to follow to change your life for the better:

step one - POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND MINDSET
step two - MAKE A DECISION
step three - TAKE ACTION

So tomorrow I will start with the first step and start the journey towards becoming much more positive.

Do this every day....

Recently I realised that there is so much noise going on in our day to day lives that we cannot think.

Are you feeling confused or lost? Trying to reconnect with what you want in your life? Instead of trying to work out what it is you want, (not a bad idea but this takes time), try quietening down your mind for 15 minutes every day and this will enable you to connect with the inner you and relax.

If you don't stop and calm down and switch off the noise, the thoughts and all the stress around you then how can you reconnect with yourself?

I think it's very important to switch off your brain for a short while and be still. You'll feel refreshed and relaxed if you do this. I'd really be interested to hear what happens when you try this...

Look inside your heart

Hi many people told me to act according to my head and not my heart. After 46 years of living on this planet what do I think of this advice?

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

That's the recipe for unhappiness. For sure.

So if you're confused or feel a bit lost right now..well, that's normal. Life is not easy, is it? But ask your heart what it wants and don't follow your head. Life is not logical and does not follow the ways of logical thinking. Intuition and emotion lead to desire and that leads you to action.

What is your goal? Do have something you really want and desire right now?
Are you working towards achieving it and if not, what's stopping you?

It's amazing that when you really go for what you want, nothing can stop you but as soon as you begin to doubt - guess what? You see problems, obstacles in your way.

You can either focus on the goal you want to achieve or on the problems facing you and the obstacles in your path. You cannot do both.

If you want to succeed and achieve your desires in life you need to always have your eyes on your goal.

What is happiness?


Hi,

I hope you're happy today and feeling fine but if not can I ask

What is happiness? What would make you happy?

Being unhappy or depressed means that your life is not reflecting who you are and the values you have. This causes you pain and confusion. To be happy you need to try to live your life more in tune with who you are.

How can you enjoy the journey when you are not sure where you are going?

Imagine being the driver of a car...You need to change course and turn to get to your destination, you may even get lost but if you know where you are going and how to get there you can enjoy the journey.
